Pakistan Has Huge Economic Prospects with CACCI Countries Atif Ikram Sheikh, President FPCCI

Karachi: Mr. Atif Ikram Sheikh, President FPCCI, has delivered a presentation to all member
countries of the Confederation of Asia Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) –
showcasing the emerging economic, trade and investment prospects of Pakistan. It is pertinent to
note that Mr. Atif Ikram Sheikh is also Vice President of CACCI through recently being elected
unopposed by the CACCI member countries.

Top trade & industry epresentatives of CACCI member chambers and life members of CACCI;
attended the presentation. Mr. Atif Ikram Sheikh highlighted the vast investment opportunities;
economic prospects and lucrative incentives offered by Pakistan. He emphasized the country's
potential in various sectors – including, exports, joint ventures, mines & minerals, textile,
tourism, IT, agriculture and services sectors.

Mr. Atif Ikram Sheikh elaborated Pakistan's strategic location; trade agreements and growing
economy; which makes it an attractive destination for foreign investment. The country's textile
sector is a significant contributor to its economy; with potential for growth and diversification.

In addition, Pakistan's IT sector is growing rapidly; with opportunities for investment, JVs and
outsourcing. The agriculture sector is also vital to Pakistan's economy; with potential for growth,
modernization and expansion.

Mr. Atif Ikram Sheikh also highlighted the role of trade bodies in Pakistan – particularly FPCCI
and its affiliations with prominent international organizations; including the Islamic Chamber of
Commerce and Development (ICCD), Commonwealth, ASEAN, D-8, EU, SAARC and SCO.
These affiliations enable Pakistan to engage with the global community; promote trade &
investment and stay updated on international best practices.

In response to questions from CACCI members, Mr. Atif Ikram Sheikh clarified that international
financial and rating agencies have praised Pakistan's economic growth; citing the country's
positive economic trajectory and thriving stock exchange. He also emphasized the growing role
of women entrepreneurs, SMEs and cottage industries in Pakistan's economy.

The presentation was well-received by the CACCI member states; who appreciated Pakistan's
economic prospects and potential for collaboration. The FPCCI's efforts to promote Pakistan's
economy and attract foreign investment are expected to yield positive results in the coming
months.
