The Policy Research Unit, formally inaugurated on 13th April 2021, represents the collective research efforts and derived insights of the Policy Advisory Board, a policy and research board comprising of top-level economic, business, trade, and industry experts as per the jurisdiction of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI).
Unlike traditional policy think-tanks, the Policy Research Unit serves as an interface between the collective voice of the private sector and the dynamically shifting Pakistani business environment, especially in the wake of emerging developments such as IT-based startups and Venture Capital-driven investment growth. The Policy Research Unit aims at remaining abreast of such paradigms and enable business owners to participate more proactively in decision-making rather than working reactively to such developments.
With the Unit consisting of executive-level board members and an extensively qualified research team, the Policy Research Unit aims to inform future policy-making more empirically while also accounting for the interests of the disparate commercial parties operating in Pakistan.
