(Karachi P.R. 9th August, 2016) Abdul Rauf Alam, President of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) has strongly condemned the brutal act of terrorism in Quetta incident in which more than 70 innocent people including lawyers, journalist were killed and about 120 injured. He termed the blast a cowardly act and an ugly attempt to destabilize the country.
The President of FPCCI added that he deeply mourns the sad and sudden demise of President Balochistan Bar Association (BBA) Bilal Kasi Advocate; Baz Muhammad Kakar, former president BBA and presently member Balochistan Bar Council, and all other victims of the Quetta blast. He prayed that may Allah Almighty rest their souls in eternal peace and grant fortitude and courage to the bereaved families of all the victims to bear this irreparable loss.
Referring to the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project he added that the fast pace of work on the Project has pained the anti-Pakistan elements and as such they had initiated attempts to sabotage CPEC and overall economic development of the Province because the CPEC would positively contribute towards national security and solidarity. He hoped that CPEC would usher a new era of development and prosperity in Baluchistan. He said, “The entire Pakistani nation including business community is united to crush the monster of terrorism with full national might.”
The President of FPCCI Abdul Rauf Alam urged the government to bring the culprits to task and take strong measures in eradicating the menace of terrorism.
